Ben Harrison has been doing music things since he was 8 years old.
He started off in the school choir in year two and then took up trumpet
at the end of that year. Things progressed slowly until he was offered a
scholarship to St Mary's Cathedral college on voice, still playing trumpet, and also took up the violin. When Ben's voice broke, he decided to focus on trumpet. He auditioned for the Sydney Conservatorium High School and much to his delight,
got accepted. He continued his musical studies there until his family moved to Melbourne. Upon moving to Melbourne Ben auditioned for the
Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School.
He was accepted there and continued his school studies until the end of year 12.
He now attends the Victorian College of the Arts majoring in
improvisation and plans to finish his Bachelor of Music there and then move on
to an overseas location.
